About Me
Kia ora, hello, Nǐ hǎo, namaste, sat sri akal. My name is Rozal, and I live in Rolleston with my husband and our two school going children, Agam and Anam.
As an Early Childhood Educator with over eight years of experience, I believe every child deserves a place where they feel loved, safe, engaged, and excited to learn. I have always wanted to provide care where children happily say goodbye to their parents – giving families the confidence that their tamariki are settled, happy, and in safe hands. This level of trust comes from genuine affection, responsive teaching, and the motherly intuition I naturally bring into my practice.
My diverse qualifications (including a Bachelor in Information Technology, a Master in Business Administration, a Postgraduate Diploma in Adult Teaching, and a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Teaching) have shaped me into a reflective, adaptable, and well‑rounded educator.
After many years working in childcare, I felt inspired to create my own home‑based environment: a warm, nurturing space where children and families feel a deep sense of belonging. With extensive experience and heartfelt passion, I aim to provide exceptional care, meaningful learning, and a loving atmosphere where tamariki can truly thrive.
Our Time Together
In my home‑based setting, tamariki enjoy a balance of free play, guided learning, and real‑life experiences. I create a calm, nurturing space where children feel safe to explore, discover, and grow at their own pace. I value child‑led learning, allowing tamariki to follow their interests while I support them with gentle guidance, respect, and trust. My weekly experiences are guided by the Pikler and RIE philosophies, where respect, trust, and responsiveness shape our interactions. I observe children closely, follow their interests, and offer invitations to play that support their holistic development — nurturing their body, mind, and wairua. Through consistent routines, warm relationships, and rich learning opportunities, I aim to create an environment where every child can explore and discover new things.
