About Me
Hi my name is Kati, I am a Home-based Childcare Educator. I have been working with children for about 30 years – 25 years in centres and then about 5 with in-home childcare. I have a working husband, 2 teenage children and a small dog.
I have a spot becoming available for a special child to join our little group, so if you are interested or have any questions, please get in touch, I’d love to have a chat.
Our Time Together
I have a separate playroom, a big deck and an outdoor space for the children to play in. We do lots of different things here at Kati’s Kiddos, and have a wide range of toys and educational activities, as I do believe that children learn so much through everyday play. I love getting out and about in the community to the library, music groups, parks, and playgroups. This is a fantastic way to socialise the children while still remaining in a small group. And at the age of 4 then I start to help the children learning some of the basics to get ready for school. I also make my own portfolios for each child to keep their memories from Kati’s Kiddos.
Stems FROM HOME Programme
Stems FROM HOME run a weekly programme of programmed events, community outings and group experiences. All of our Educators and whānau are welcome to attend. For our Educators based in the Franklin district and beyond this includes weekly Playgym session in Pukekohe, and fortnightly music and movement sessions in Pokeno. We also meet up for Kaititiro Whenua (community explorers) outings and do workshops for the children at Bunnings Takanini. All information is shared in our term flyer.
